Primarily responsible for assistance in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing processes for manufacturing of night vision components.
A successful candidate will have proficiency in the use of hand and machine tools, precision gauges, test instruments, and process equipment.
Have an understanding and skills in effectively applying Six-Sigma tools to benefit the organization and customers.
Additionally, the candidate will be versed in Lean tools and their application to reduce waste.
This is a hands-on technician position.
The individual can expect to spend >90% of their time engaging directly with the factory teams on the shop floor to be most effective.
Responsibilities will include:
* Review/ disposition of night vision components
* Training of production employees
* Leading or participating in projects to: increase yield, increase productivity, reduce waste, improve work processes, and improve product performance quality.
* Working with area engineers and manager to optimize yields and throughput
* Participating in and promoting Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications
* Associate degree preferably in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.) or related work experience

The Product Manager V will become the subject matter expert on the Night Vision market providing requirements, design tradeoff guidance, feature prioritization, and strategic direction for the night vision technology development.
The candidate will be responsible for full understanding within 6 months and the strategic leadership of defined night vision technologies, including i^2 and thermal imaging sensors, within the dismount soldier kit to provide a full Integrated Soldier System offering.

Summary of Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Purchases a high volume and variety of materials, supplies and services.
Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiations price, delivery, quality and service.
Follows up on all awards until completion of order.
Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering changes.
