Position Overview
The Assistant Athletic Coach will support the Head Athletic Coach in the development and execution of athletic programs.
This role is critical in fostering the physical, emotional, and social development of student-athletes.
The Assistant Coach will help create a positive and competitive environment emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and respect for the game.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Skill Instruction: Assist in instructing and demonstrating skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement across practices and games.
* Training Program Development: Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop appropriate training programs and practice schedules to optimize athlete performance.
* Game Strategy Implementation: Participate in creating and executing game/meet strategies, emphasizing technical fundamentals and tactical understanding.
* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
Maintain updated inventories of all equipment.
* Record Keeping: Maintain necessary records related to student-athlete attendance and performance and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
* Medical Compliance: Ensure that all required medical forms are obtained and current for each student athlete.
* Supervision: Supervise student-athletes during home and away games, practices, and other team activities to ensure appropriate behavior and sportsmanship.
* Reporting: Submit completed injury reports to the Athletic Director, School Leader, and School Nurse promptly following any incidents.
* Communication: Communicate and collaborate effectively with the families of student-athletes, providing updates and addressing concerns.
* Policy Enforcement: Enforce all school policies during practices and games, both at home and while traveling.

The Athletic Coach is responsible for leading a team of student athletes, developing and implementing training programs, and promoting a culture of excellence within the athletic department.
This individual will work closely with the Director of Athletics to achieve program goals, maintain a safe and supportive environment for student-athletes, and adhere to school policies and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Instruction and Leadership: Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement in their designated sport(s).
* Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs and practice schedules to enhance team performance and athlete development, as well as the creation and execution of game and meet strategies.
* Game Strategy: Create and execute game/meet strategy and implement fundamentals to achieve competitive success.
* Off-Season Workouts: Coordinate and design off-season workouts and strength training sessions for the entire program (when age/sport appropriate).
Scheduling and Logistics: Work with the Director of Athletics to build a competitive and balanced schedule, ensuring timely delivery of all necessary documents and approvals.
* Staff Management: Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to hire, evaluate, and support additional coaching staff members for all program teams.
* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms, with updated inventories.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
* Health and Safety: Ensure proper medical forms and current records are obtained and maintained.
