Maintenance Technician

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Reports to: REO & Facilities Manager, Facilities Manager or Maintenance Technician 2

Position Supervises: No Direct Reports

Position Summary: 

Maintenance and preventative maintenance to assigned company buildings and grounds, not limited to assigned regions.

Provide cordial and timely service to all employees and departments.

Demonstrate and implement our Trusted Advisor strategy to all internal and external customers.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs and assists with maintenance and repairs to building and equipment (i.e.

electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting, construction and fabrication) as qualified.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.

• Diagnose/detect problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. 

• Assist in all moves, as needed.  (Respond to all requests made by internal and external customers and make any arrangement to accommodate their needs, if applicable.)

• Assist with relocation of materials in house (i.e.

supplies and furniture), as needed.

• Assist with mowing, yard work and snow removal, primarily at home branch, but not limited to.

• Answer/respond to all daily requests from branches and departments, individuals and vendors, either by phone, email or in person.

• Work and communicate with all vendors we hire to deal with issues pertaining to building and grounds.

• Required to be on call 24/7.

• Visually inspect all facilities for cosmetic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Generator malfunctions.

• Maintain facility lighting.

This includes changing bulbs, troubleshooting to find electrical issues, and changing ballasts or fixtures as needed.


• Repair plumbing issues: leaky faucets, valves, toilets, spigots and sumps.

This may include the removal of a toilet or any bathroom or break room fixture.

• Appliance repairs as needed, such as ice makers, refrigerators.

• Light construction and fabrication of facility environments is sometimes needed to meet individual facility needs.

• Moving of heavy objects for service, carpet or structural change is sometimes necessary.
