DESCRIPTION
As a part of our Civil Engineering team, the Civil Associate helps Project Engineers and Project Managers work with professionals in other disciplines, subconsultants, and directly with clients to develop proposal and project deliverable work products.
Tasks for a Civil Associate include field and office data gathering, review, and analysis, preparation of calculations, development and use of office and specialized engineering software, development of planning studies, plans, specifications and cost estimates, writing.
Good writing and communication skills are essential in all aspects of the job.
Throughout the firm, our goal is to support and develop client focused, seller-doers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to work under close supervision on complex tasks, and general review of other tasks with thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgement.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to present own work with a demonstration of sound logic on what is known, unknown, and derived.
Research and apply engineering guidelines, regulatory requirements and standards.
Perform field inspection and gathering of data pertinent to project development.
Prepare plans, specifications and estimates.
