Position Title: Bankruptcy Assistant

Business Unit: Retail Lending

Reports to: Manager of Retail Loan Adjustments

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with all clerical aspects in the bankruptcy area of the retail loan adjustment department.  

Primary Responsibilities:

Opening and sorting all bankruptcy related mail, e-mails, faxes, etc.

Searching PACER and accurately documenting all bank systems with the proper B/K information.

Following the review by the Bankruptcy Administrator, processing Proofs of Claim with the Bankruptcy courts and preparation of instruction letters to counsel representing the bank for motions for relief, objections to plan, etc.

to ensure that deadlines are met to avoid potential loss to the bank.

Monitor Chapter 13 Real Estate loans for the filing of a payment change notice  with the Bankruptcy Court 21 days prior to payment due date based on the annual escrow analysis as well as the preparation of Reaffirmation Agreements. 

Maintaining of all loan files for bankrupt customers as well as sending documents to scanning for the file on director.

Processing all bankruptcy related payments which entails processing some payments on a block as well as handwriting of tickets for some payments.

Responding daily to customer disputes via E-Oscar (Online solution for complete and accurate reporting) to ensure accurate credit reporting.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
