Job Description:

Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing primary support to the assigned location in execution of contracts, rates and coordinating logistical support for commodity shipments by rail, truck or barge.

Key Responsibilities


* Assists with intermediate accounting functions and execution of logistics in support of the Merchandisers.


* Provides customer support including resolution of problems and discrepancies, as well as building relationships.


* Review and assist in the collection of accounts receivable as needed.

Identify aging accounts and partner with Trader to reconcile in a timely fashion.


* Provide logistical support for commodity shipments by rail, truck or barge.

* Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job related training or considerable experience


* Completes work with limited degree of supervision


* Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience


* Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data


* Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions

Minimum Qualifications & Skills


* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate's Degree preferred


* 3-5 years' relevant experience required

* H igh level of Microsoft Excel skills and possess a working knowledge of accounting concepts


* Strong critical thinking and analytical nature


* Ability to collaborate and be a team-player


* Strong detailed orientation with exemplary communication skills


* Experience with Rightangle software platforms, preferred


* Completes work with limited degree of supervision


* Strong focus and attention to detail


* Ability to multi-task in a high energy environment


* Ability to identify problems and process improvement opportunities, and work to resolve and/or implement with limited supervision


* Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions


* Ability to assist in application of deliveries to contracts and final settlements of both purchases and sales on a daily basis


* Ability to monitor and route current rail fleet through multiple processes, to include billing, tracing, freight charges, disputes, and troubleshooting
