Pharmacy Technician - Dispensing (Inpatient Services) - University Hospital (4244)

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician – Dispensing (Inpatient Services) to: - Prepare and package medications.

- Deliver medications to different patient care areas.

- Control inventory and cost.

- Work with Pharmacy automation and robotics.

Education: Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred – Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.

Work Experience: Preferred – Previous pharmacy technician experience.

Licenses and Certifications: Preferred – Certified Pharmacy Technician Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Attention to detail - Customer service skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.

- Time and task management, prioritizing, and organizational skill.

- Ability to prioritize and problem solve.

- Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses.

- Ability to type.

- Previous experience with computers, preferably using Microsoft Office and other Windows based system.

Ability to use computer for order entry, inventory control, billing, and record keeping.

Physical Requirements: Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

W ork Schedule: This is a full-time, 100% FTE position scheduled to work 40 hours per week.

This position will require working 8-hour day/evening shifts.

AM shifts starting times vary from 6:30 am to 9:30 am.

PM shifts starting times vary from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
