Job Description

Job Title: Reliability Systems Engineer

Location: Chester, PA

Position Purpose:

Provides reliability tactical leadership for processes at the manufacturing site.  This position is responsible for delivering a breakthrough step change in asset performance while driving costs down to world class levels through continuous improvement in close partnership with the Operations & Engineering team at the manufacturing site.  This position leads the reliability personnel in analysis, problem solving and development of solutions that eliminates failures, increases the life and reduces the cost to maintain over the life cycle.  This position is responsible for establishing standards for the day to day tasks personnel associated with maintenance and reliability perform throughout the site, and checking the execution of those standards to drive continuous improvement efforts in asset reliability.


Incumbent reports to the site maintenance and reliability manager.  The incumbent has broad reliability responsibilities for technically complex processes, plant equipment, and facilities.  He/she provides tactical leadership for maintenance skilled resources and reliability engineering groups to deliver improved asset performance.

Key Customers:

Internal to Mill: Mill and Sector Management, Operations, Site Engineering Teams and Mill Reliability and Stores personnel.

Internal to Sector: KCNA Supply Chain Management, specifically the Supply Chain Strategy and Transformation team, and the Global Supply Chain Reliability and Stores teams.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

* Safety:
+ Support the loss control improvement process by complying with critical safety rules
+ Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace and complying with safety rules.
+ Ensure that the development of processes, standards and equipment meets safety codes, policies and guidelines  

* Quality:
+ Support improvement initiatives towards process capability and precision maintenance work execution.
+ Provide resources and systems to align equipment, products, processes, materials, systems, and procedures to achieve business objectives. 
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

* People:
+ Manage yourself in accordance with the One KC Behaviors and values
+ Build the capability within the Maintenance and Reliability team in the areas of analysis, problem solving and failure analysis, among others
+ Build the reliability knowledge and capability of others in the manufacturing facility to better support team results.

* Delivery/Cost:
+ Provide tactical leadership for day to day reliability analysis and failure elimination
