Associate Director, Operational Excellence - Training and Development

 Position: Associate Director, Operational Excellence

Reporting to Director of Operational Excellence, this position will lead strategic and operational priorities for OpEx PMO.

This position will be responsible for OpEx PMO training and development.

The position will partner with other OpEx PMO leaders and business leaders and stakeholders to execute on a holistic people development strategy across Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) to enable the organization to meet business objectives and build the foundations to drive continuous, sustainable, flawless execution and performance improvement through deep and broad application of operational excellence methodology.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

•      Work with Director of OpEx to execute a holistic  strategy for People Development in lean, six sigma, change leadership and knowledge management

•      Develop and deploy the  training standards in various formats to enable effective training and utilization (virtual, class room, and on the job training)

•      Deploy and manage role-based competency development process for all GPS

•      Run Train-the-Training sessions to increase training capabilities throughout GPS

•      Continually improve the OpEx PMO training standards

•      Manage process to identify, capture and easily share best practices, and case studies  for all  methods and processes to accelerate and increase business value

•      Ensure standardization of training across GPS

·         Train and coach key GPS team members to increase their  competency

·         Lead and or contribute to other prioritized OpEx PMO work as required

·         Apply change management methods to ensure effective execution of  and to promote a culture and mindset of operational excellence and continuous improvement

·         Build, maintain and leverage relationships across the matrix to identify opportunities for process improvement and facilitate the implementation and continuous monitoring of processes and staying up to date on developments in process improvement methodologies and best practices

 

Job Qualifications:

•      Scientific or Engineering Bachelor’s degree

•      Minimum of 10 years of experience in Operations/Operational Excellence roles in Chemical/Life science/Biotech industry utilizing “lean” principles

•      Experience building lean six sigma training material including simulation based training
