Director, Integrated Marketing Communications - Asia Pacific

Description
This role is responsible for managing the marketing communications strategy and programs for the Asia Pacific world area of the Discrete & Industrial business group within Emerson Automation Solutions.

The person will manage all marketing communications activities, working alongside corporate and business unit marketing leadership, product marketing, communications program managers, and sales teams to develop integrated marketing assets and programs to drive demand and grow Discrete & Industrial brands.  They will determine true marketing objectives and advise on the best integrated approach.

They will collaborate with the Digital Strategy Director to integrate communications to improve the digital customer experience.
 
Responsibilities


* Manage world area integrated marketing team to prioritize and execute all Marketing Communications programs to include campaigns, product launch and promotion, and sales enablement


* Support communications projects in the areas of advertising, promotional programs, public relations, trade shows and events


* Build relationships and communicate regularly with stakeholders to develop effective and cohesive strategic marketing campaigns to achieve business objectives


* Serve as the authority on marketing programs and provide guidance to the organization and business units regarding communications and brand transition execution


* Manage and report monthly on the world area budget


* Collaborate across the organization as required for global activities and digital programs


* Work with Automation Solutions marketing and digital teams to ensure alignment and inclusion of businesses on key programs and strategies


* Ensure consistent compliance to Emerson branding guidelines

Requirements


* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering required


* Graduate degree or MBA strongly preferred


* 5 to 8 years’ experience in campaigns, integrated marketing or marketing communications; technical or B2B manufacturing company preferred


* Possess strong people and organizational skills with the ability to lead integrated programs by effectively assigning, delegating, coordinating and monitoring the work of multiple stakeholders across departments


* Commitment to quality - proofing work for accuracy, detail-oriented, and demand for excellence in all forms of communication


* Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English.

Additional languages a plus


* Able and willing to travel up to 25% of time, sometimes internationally
