Global Compensation Consultant

Position Purpose -

The Global Compensation Consultant utilizes rewards knowledge to consult, lead, and deliver compensation solutions for Cargill businesses.

Lead complex projects and processes with limited supervision.

Support specific enterprise or function and uses their understanding of business and project/process requirements to deliver successful solutions.

Partner with Enterprise/Function Compensation Leaders and Global Compensation & Mobility regional leads to appropriately scope requests and activate resources for execution.

Build enterprise/function-specific familiarity and expertise to identify and propose opportunities for business/function or process improvement.

 

Principal Accountabilities -

 

50% Process Leadership and Execution
• Under limited supervision, execute and maintain total rewards processes for an enterprise or function following Cargill policies.
• Under limited supervision, provide consult to clients and stakeholders regarding the interpretation and delivery of complex total rewards programs and processes.
• Advocate for solutions that meet or exceed needs for Compensation areas.

If necessary, perform research and best practice assessments to create or propose innovative solutions.
• Persuade stakeholders to accept new ideas and concepts by leveraging in-depth and broad knowledge of Total Rewards processes.
• Maintain expert knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise in multiple systems and processes.
• Provide expertise and identification/execution of continuous improvement opportunities.
• Act as an enterprise or function-expert in support of other regional consultants or specialists, in areas including incentive mapping, position evaluation, or other day-to-day requests.

30% Project Leadership and Execution
• Provide feedback to the Enterprise/Function Compensation Lead and Business Relationship Manager to determine project scoping & resource requirements from Global Compensation & Mobility stand-point.
• Lead projects for Enterprises/Functions, Global Compensation & Mobility, and the Total Rewards COE, while maintaining resource accountability in their deliverables to ensure project execution.

Additionally, act as a point of escalation for key project stakeholders.
• Provide input to support implementation of changes or new activities as needed, including training, testing, trouble shooting and issue resolution.
• Lead change with key internal and external stakeholders, and peers to ensure acceptance of new solutions and related processes.
10% Relationship Management
• Create and maintain long-term working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including process and technology teams, vendors, and business partners.
• Support the Cargill Service Delivery Model (SDM) and reinforce its utilization with key stakeholders and clients.

10% Other
• Act as a leader in GHRS ELT meetings and discussions.
