Our Business Intelligence team is going from strength to strength and are looking for an Analyst Consultant to further evolve how the function works with and adds value to the business.

In this key role, you’ll join a diverse team of specialists whose music choices range from metal to classical and are known for playing speed golf, swimming in the harbour in the winter (crazy I know!) and enjoying good food!  With 3+ years’ experience under your belt, this team are committed to your ongoing professional development and mentoring.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working closely with our Senior Leadership Team to understand their challenges, goals and aspirations, to diagnose their BI needs, and to develop options for how data analytics can fulfil those needs and add value.

Additionally, you will be designing, building, documenting and supporting our array of predictive data models, and be involved in the delivery of data artefacts and analytics through visually appealing dashboards and reports that provide full visibility of the performance of the data analytics artefacts for all in the organisation.

We primarily work in a Microsoft SQL Server environment - other tools we use include an elastic-stack for data mining and search and SAS for the legacy data models.

The primary mechanism of delivery for data analytics will be through the use of Microsoft’s R code and as a result of this the legacy data models will need to be migrated across into our SQL Server stack and R-code.

You’ll not only be able to adapt your “tech speak” into plain language for non-technical people, but you’ll possess solid consultancy skills including the ability to collaborate well with others, think critically, problem solve, present information effectively, and be service-orientated.

You’ll also need:

·         5+ years data analysis experience in a corporate environment, preferably with strong database technical expertise

·         5+ years data modelling experience, including predictive modelling and propensity analysis

·         SAS knowledge and understanding would be advantageous to have

·         R coding skills would be preferred however, if none then a strong willingness to learn is required

·         SQL Server development skills would be a distinct advantage (SSIS, Transact SQL & SQL querying skills)
