POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

We are currently looking for a Senior Trainer to represent all consumer lines of business in our retail landscape.

The Microsoft Senior Trainer plays a leadership role for the field team, executing and driving training initiatives in major electronics retailers.  You are who the field looks to model their execution after – you set the tone for what good looks like – you understand the need to take ownership of your territory, the relationships you have in your stores to drive performance, and the requirement of a keen understanding of sales performance data that drives a corresponding action plan.   You also are the face of Microsoft at key retailer events, evangelizing Microsoft products at every opportunity.

While you have responsibility for training store personnel on Microsoft products through face to face engagement and group presentations at key account partner locations (25% of your time) the balance of your time will be facilitation and evangelism activities of all Microsoft Lines of Businesses, creating fans across Canada of Microsoft products.

Your success will be fostered by the strong relationships you build with store Managers and how you engage with customers about Microsoft products.

The team will look to you for up-to-the-minute Microsoft information as well as how to engage with our retail partners to help sell and evangelize Microsoft products.

·      Demonstrating and coaching a team to evangelize store personnel on Microsoft products through impactful engagement, group presentations

·      Building strong relationships with store Managers, Retail Pros in some instances, consumers.

·      Executing national training plans in partnership with the Microsoft Evangelism Lead which include prioritized account training plans.

·      Supporting people development through Soft-Skills capabilities.

Providing constructive on-the-job feedback/training.

Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment.

·      Demonstrating high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge.

Keep up-to-date with current developments and trends in industry knowledge.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


* 3+ years’ experience in a learning and leadership development role, including vendor/partner management experience with extensive experience in Talent Management and Facilitation.

(preferably in the retail and/or technology Industry)


* Experience with adult learning principles, instructional design techniques, online learning, assessments, and evaluation methodologies
