SUMMARY

The Procurement Reporting and Data Analyst is a member of the Global Procurement Planning team and is responsible for ensuring that the data used to develop forecasts, RFQs, negotiations, procurement strategies, order optimization, and etc.

is accurate and complete.

This role is responsible for mining and analyzing category spends to be used in the development and implementation the Category Strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain and ensure integrity of Savings Project Data to reflect changes in procurement savings projects.

Establish dashboards to track category spend, inflation/deflation, and key projects.

Monitor data quality scorecards.

Identify issues and work with procurement project leads to resolve them.

Identify gaps in policies, processes and procedures leading to incorrect data and propose solutions.

Participate in data synchronization and harmonization efforts in addition to process improvement projects.

Create and maintain training materials; Standard Operating Procedures and Data Dictionary; provide training and education on data quality to Procurement globally and locally.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or a related discipline

* Strong analytical skills.


* Strong customer service skills, proactive, demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation and self-confidence.


* Able to use Excel, Tableau, and related tools to analyze large data sets


* Good understanding of data management principles, tools and best practices within Smith and Nephew.


* Able to communicate data concepts and issues clearly


* Able to build good relationships with others across the business


* Able to work independently to solve complex problems, applying expertise in business intelligence and data solutions to drive best practices and innovative solutions


* Self-starter with ability to complete projects independently, efficiently and with minimal supervision


* Familiarity with transactional systems including SAP, AXAPTA (MS Dynamics), and others.
