Specialist II, Human Resources

The Specialist II, Human Resources (HR) is responsible for providing administrative support for transactional HR activities.

Transactions include, but may not be limited to, benefit, relocation and immigration administration; completing/processing a wide variety of confidential internal and external forms/documents; filing/scanning documents (paper and electronic copies); and assisting other HR team members as required, often with matters requiring a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy
 
The incumbent works cross-functionally with internal departments and external resources on HR related issues. 
 
The Specialist II, HR supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate. 
 

Primary duties/responsibilities:
 


* Assists employees and HR colleagues with administrative and confidential matters related to health and welfare benefits.

This includes, but may not be limited to, answering questions regarding qualifying events, dependent age out, change requests, COBRA, etc.; assisting with the annual benefit open enrollment process; maintaining Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document(s) and assisting with the administration of, Leaves of Absence (LOA) of various types, etc.

This also includes processing Purchase Orders (POs) and auditing/processing benefit provider invoices.

It may also include liaising with vendors to facilitate transactions or to correct problems.
 


* Schedules and assists with the delivery of weekly New Hire Orientation (NHO) presentations.

This includes, but may not be limited to, sending internal meeting requests to presenters, emailing agenda to new employee(s)/contractors, compiling presentation materials, arranging for catering assisting with new hire paperwork collection and processing (e.g.

I-9’s, CDAs, etc.), compiling new hire information packets and creating new hire personnel folders.
 


* Ensures that HR data is captured, recorded or modified in relevant systems and/or files.

Sends out internal notification emails for new hires, terminations and employee data changes.
 


* Assists with scanning and filing confidential employee documents to personnel files (hard copy and e-file).

Verifies documents are complete and obtains necessary signatures as needed.
 


* In collaboration with PTC’s global relocation service provider, internal HR key stakeholders and prospective employees, provides administrative oversight for global relocations.

This includes, but may not be limited to, initiating relocation services with the vendor, liaising with the vendor/employee to expedite services or resolve problems, processing Purchase Orders (POs) and invoices, monitoring the relocation budget and providing monthly accruals as required.
