HR Specialist (Recruiting Coordinator)

As the HR Specialist (Recruiting Coordinator), you will be responsible for HR administrative functions, communicating with applicants, and ensuring the hiring process is compliant with employment laws and XPO’s policies and procedures.

What you’ll do on a typical day:


* Collaborate with hiring managers to source and identify qualified candidates for open positions within a defined geographic region or group


* Create requisitions and post positions to appropriate internet sources, professional organizations, state employment agencies, etc.


* Monitor candidate flow and make recommendations to the hiring manager on ways to increase the flow, if needed; conduct database searches for viable resumes for hourly positions


* Review and evaluate applicants to ensure they meet the position requirements


* Audit the MVRs and background check results, and follow up with applicants in accordance to our adjudication process; audit the agility test, physical exam, and drug screen results of applicants; audit I-9s through the verification process


* Maintain and update all pertinent applicant data within the applicant tracking system; prepare and send offer letters to hiring managers through the applicant tracking system


* Handle phone inquiries from potential applicants, HR, and field personnel; notify candidates of their status via the applicant tracking system; process onboarding of applicants into payroll system

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


* Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of experience


* 2 years of experience in recruiting, recruiting coordination, or related area


* Experience with applicant tracking and HRIS systems


* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)  


* Knowledge and experience of human resources-related systems and processes

It’d be great if you also have:


* Bachelor’s degree in human resources


* Knowledge and experience with MS Access, SuccessFactors, and PeopleSoft software


* Knowledge of Employment Laws


* Bilingual in English and Spanish or French


* Ability to work in a high-volume recruiting environment and be process driven


* Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to maintain confidential or sensitive information with integrity
