F117 Technical Propulsion Engineer

The F117 Logistics Program Management organization provides comprehensive fleet management services for all fielded F117 engines.

The F117 LPM manages the overhaul and repair of all removed engines and also provides support for the engines installed on the 260 C-17 aircraft operated by the USAF and international air force customers.

The selected candidate will be a member of the F117 LPM Technical Management Team, whose mission is to provide the highest level of technical support to ensure sound engine configuration management policies leading to superior fleet operational performance.

Primary responsibilities include:

Typical responsibilities would include:

* Support a team dedicated to validating, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of maintenance data to provide insightful and meaningful conclusions that can be used across the F117/C17 and Tanker Programs.

* Evaluate Engineering Changes for fleet impacts, including sustainability and maintenance practice changes.

Coordinate with other LPM team members and Customer Support Engineering to determine implementation strategies.

* Evaluate engine build standards to achieve time on wing goals, trending, and analyzing shop data to identify adverse hardware durability trends, and recommend changes to the F117 Minimum Build Standard that will improve time on-wing and/or reduce program costs.

* Support periodic Customer Program Meetings.| BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field| Basic Qualifications:

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience of shop maintenance experience in the field of aviation

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

* US Citizenship is required based on government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous C17/F117 experience preferred

* Engine test, engine overhaul shop, and/or Air Force flight line maintenance or depot experience

* Knowledge of jet engine repair and overhaul maintenance practices

* Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access

* Experience with USAF G081 system, Solumina, Maintenix and SAP is a plus

* Strong oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a team environment

* Ability to obtain secret clearance.


* Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field
