Senior Procurement & Project Accountant

Primerica currently has the following opening in our corporate office located at 1 Primerica Parkway in Duluth, Georgia:

The Senior Procurement & Project Accountant will oversee accounting related to all corporate procurement and related activities.  The role will assist in providing accounting leadership, direction and guidance to the Company in the areas of capital projects, fixed assets, expense recognition, and financial analysis.

A successful candidate will be proficient in accounting related to procurement, including accounts payable, accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets/capital projects using our financial systems (PeopleSoft and TM1).  The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional teams, coordinating ongoing efforts impacting multiple areas of the organization (including Tax, FP&A, Accounting Policy, and internal/external audit).

Because this role will also include responsibility for accounting activities affecting our SEC-registered broker-dealer, the Senior Procurement & Project Accountant will be required to become securities licensed (Series 6 or 99) within the first 120 days of employment.

Specific areas of experience needed are:



* Fixed assets / Capital project accounting


* Contract review


* Expense recognition


* Balance sheet reconciliations


* Financial analysis

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



* Accounting degree required


* CPA preferred


* Minimum 3-5 years public accounting experience


* High level of analytical and organizational skills


* Strong attention to detail


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare, edit, and deliver procedures, training material and technical guidelines


* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required


* PeopleSoft (General Ledger/AP/Purchasing) and Blackline reconciliation management experience preferred
