FP&A Analyst

Primary Responsibilities
​The FP&A Analyst will report directly to the VP Finance, and will serve as a key member of the Finance and Accounting team assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reporting.

The FP&A analyst will also support budgeting, forecasting, special projects, and new store analysis.

The position will work closely with other members of Finance and Accounting, as well as Category Management and Operations teams to provide accurate and timely financial and operational reporting for all of Coen's businesses, including its multi-site retail portfolio.

The Analyst will have a key responsibility for budgeting - both business performance and capital expenditures, and analysis for all capital project to ensure proper preparation to make a capital decision as well as track performance of the project relative to expectation to judge project effectiveness.

The analyst may also perform other functions to support the Accounting process including monthly close process, and general ledger account reconciliations as assigned.

From time to time, the Analyst may serve on a project for helping to analyze and plan for value added projects as well as serve on an implementation team.

Essential Functions
​-Lead the development, and analysis of financial results on a monthly, quarterly and annual results including;

* Creation of financial summaries combining text, graphs, and schedules.

* Comparison of Budget, Actual and Prior period results.

* Reports for external stakeholders such as Coen's bank and its outside board of directors.

* Forecasting based on latest financial data.

-Lead the development, analysis of Operational Reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to support Operations and Category Management teams.
-Create and maintain various models to assist in planning and analyses including;

* Corporate budgeting models.

* Financial cost/benefit models.

* Capital budgeting/planning.

* Annual retail operating and capital budgets, by site.

-Assist with development, maintenance, and distribution of store metrics and KPI reporting.
-Perform monthly and ad hoc Store level/Store segment level analytical reviews to include margin analysis, actual results vs.

store prototype, store portfolio, industry, budget/forecast, same store sales, etc.
-Become an expert in the retail ERP system (PDI), and seek to find more value creating strategies to further leverage the system.
-Assist in Accounting duties as assigned including month end close process and account reconciliation.
-Actively participate in weekly Finance and Accounting staff meetings as well as meetings with senior team reviewing internal reporting.
