Communications Rep I

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide change management support in the areas of change, education plans and communications for the SAP project.

This includes supporting the development of the change, education and communications strategy and plans that will guide the project through to deployment.

The associate works with all other change management resources to ensure key deliverables are completed to drive success of the project.   

Principal Accountabilities:
Change Management Strategy and Planning Support (60%)
• Contribute to creation of the overall change strategy for the ERP project using Global IT’s change management DCA, tools and templates
• Support the design, development and execution of Integrated Change Plans for ERP projects including leadership alignment and stakeholder management and all other change, communication and education activities
• Work with assigned Global IT project leadership team to ensure alignment with BU and function leadership.
• Provide change, communication and education knowledge to IT project teams to ensure appropriate Cargill DCA methodology, approaches, and strategies are being utilized for Change management activities.
• Identify barriers and challenges for successful CCE work, determine alternatives and implement the preferred/approved recommendation
• Reinforce project direction and vision to resources

Change Management Execution and Deployment (30%)
• Work collaboratively with change consultant, change management lead, SAP team members and employees to execute the plan
• Identify variances from the plan, milestone risks, and make recommendations
• Support contingency plans to minimize risk
• Support consistency and repeatability of CCE approach and methodologies across multiple projects.
• Support risk management, status reporting, quality of deliverables and budgetary compliance
• Support the on-going tracking and progress updates against the change management plan
• Review and provide timely feedback to issues and change request
• Review and escalate risks and issues as appropriate

Project Resources management (10%)
• Identify areas where there are issues and risks for the project related to change, communication and education, and escalate accordingly
• Ensure that contingency plans are in place to minimize risk

Essential Functions/Requirements:
• Travel will be required per needs of the project.
• Bachelor’s Degree (organizational behavior, learning and development, communication, etc.)
• Change management training preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience managing large scale change projects (includes technology and non-technology)
• Ability to influence at various levels within an organization
• Experience working in a complex, global environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with multiple stakeholders and deliver results
• Business fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to frame change message and facilitate discussion
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with senior leaders and deliver results
• Ability to quickly learn, apply learnings for continuous improvement and performance
• Prior experience in SAP implementation or other significant change and communication projects preferred
• Strong coordination, follow up and organization skills
• Ability to work under strict timelines
• Experience using ERP, e-procurement systems,
• Experience using Microsoft office products excel, ppt, etc.
• Develop trusting, effective relationships with program team and end users
• Maintain execution focus on key dates and work prioritization
