Trauma Registrar - Trauma, Part Time, Days, 8 Hours

Job Summary:

Reports to the Trauma Coordinator and is responsible for data registry information related to the Trauma programs.  In doing so, keeps the county mandated patient data entry up to date and sent into county as specified by policy and procedure, keeps office supplies available for smooth operations, and communicates with Trauma team regarding requested statistical information.  Consistently demonstrates behaviors that model the SJHS Core Values and the Hospital’s Mission Statement.


Minimum Position Qualifications:



* High School Diploma or GED 


* 1 year of secretarial experience and

* 1 year working closely with physicians or in medical office and

* 2 years working with trauma data analysis or ICD-9 coding    

License / Certification:


Preferred Position Qualifications:



* College or Vocational training


* Knowledge of ICD-9 or CPT coding, computer knowledge, understanding of medical supplies and equipment that may be used by physicians, secretarial experience with scheduling of meetings and acting as contact person for educational programs

License / Certification: 

* EMT or critical care tech
