Our Americas Corporate office, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for a an Information Security Analyst.  This position will be based at our Ravinia office (Dunwoody, GA).


Job Summary – (Role Summary)

IHG relies heavily on its central Information Technology systems to enable and support its core sales and business processes; these systems, therefore, are critical to IHG’s business.

The type and volume of sensitive information held by IHG make it potentially attractive to multiple threat vectors. 

The role of the Associate Analyst Information Security is to provide general information security support services to IHG information security teams to enable proactive risk mitigation strategies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

Lead IT security containment, remediation, and preventive control projects.
Assist with deployment of secure technology solutions.
Analyze IT security data and develop executive reporting.
Assess business processes and develop process improvements.
Manage project budgets and reporting, leveraging IHG’s portfolio management tool.
Work with technology and business teams to develop secure solutions.



Education –

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of work and up to three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.  

Experience –

·         Requires practical knowledge of job area.

·         Working knowledge of operating system security controls (e.g., Windows, Linux, Unix)

·         Working knowledge of IP networking and network protocols, architecture, and concepts

·         CISSP Preferred; CISA, CRISC, SANS certifications a plus

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

·         Foundational knowledge of privacy and regulatory compliance including information security enterprise risk assessments, PCI remediation, data protection and strategy

·         Foundational knowledge of preventative security controls, particularly in relation to protecting applications and data (i.e., firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, anti-malware systems, cross-site scripting libraries, etc.)

·         Foundational knowledge of security processes such as vulnerability 



Decision making responsibilities (Key Decision Rights):

·         Performs tasks and functions within immediate job area that require moderate analysis.

·         Works to achieve operational targets within job area with direct impact on departmental results.

·         May be responsible for one or more workstreams on a project within immediate job area.

·         May be responsible for making changes or recommending enhancements to systems and

 processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.

·         Identifies, defines and addresses problems and opportunities that are not immediately evident,

 but typically are not complex; may require understanding of a broader set of issues.

·         Problems may require understanding of other job areas.
